D-panthenol (provitamin B5) converts in the skin into pantothenic acid, which supports the skin’s natural renewal processes. It effectively binds moisture, strengthens the skin barrier, soothes irritation and promotes skin repair. Thanks to these properties, D-panthenol is particularly well suited for treating dry and chapped lips. Combined with CBD, known for its soothing and anti-inflammatory properties, it makes Beau an exceptionally nourishing and restorative balm.
Beau is Ecocert-certified, developed in Finland, vegan, and suitable for sensitive skin. It also works beautifully with lip makeup: color cosmetics adhere well to the balm’s surface and stay on the lips effectively.

Beau Pre-Sale Campaign Terms
Beau Repairing CBD Lip Balm (7 ml) is available now as a pre-sale. By placing a pre-order, you are supporting the production of a product that is not yet manufactured, and you are agreeing to these terms.
What you are buying. One pre-order is €20 (VAT included) and entitles you to two (2) units of Beau Repairing CBD Lip Balm, delivered once the product has been manufactured.
Payment. Payment is taken in full at checkout through standard Shopify checkout, the same as any other order.
Our production target. To manufacture Beau, the campaign needs to reach 2,500 pre-orders, which is €50,000 in total pre-sale orders. If this target is reached before 31 August 2026, production begins earlier.
Campaign end date. The campaign runs until 31 August 2026.
Estimated delivery. If the target is reached, Beau is estimated to ship during December 2026. By placing a pre-order you acknowledge and agree that delivery will take place on this later, estimated timeline, and not within the standard delivery period. We will keep you updated if the estimate changes.
If the target is not reached. If 2,500 pre-orders (€50,000) are not reached by 31 August 2026, the product will not go into production. In that case you will receive a Blank& gift card worth €40 (double the amount you paid) as compensation, valid across the Blank& store and available to you straight away. If you would prefer a full refund of the €20 you paid instead, you may request one, and we will return it to your original payment method within 60 days of the campaign closing.

Does Blank& products contain THC?
Blank& products contain no intoxicating THC. The EU’s general legal limit is 0.2% and Blank& products contain either 0.01% or 0%.

Are your products legal?
Yes! CBD is a legal compound in Finland as a cosmetic ingredient, but not as a dietary supplement. The legislation is stricter than in many other European countries.
- In cosmetics: CBD has been approved in the EU as a cosmetic ingredient since 2021. In Finland, it can be used in cosmetic products, but authorities such as Tukes and the Finnish Food Authority have not clearly defined the status of CBD products, which creates uncertainty in the market.
- As a dietary supplement: The sale of CBD as a dietary supplement is prohibited in Finland, even though many EU countries (e.g. Germany, France, Spain, Poland, and the Czech Republic) have already granted it supplement status.
- Differences compared to the rest of Europe: Finnish authorities have not granted approval for CBD as a dietary supplement, even though the EU Court of Justice ruled in 2022 that CBD is not a narcotic.

Does CBD work for me?
Absolutely! Almost all skin types can benefit from the positive effects of CBD: it is anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, moisturizing and helps in regulating the sebum production. This is particularly helpful in treating acne or eczema. CBD is well-suited for acne-prone skin, individuals with atopic skin, and even those with psoriasis.
CBD helps to protect the skin from the harmful effects of free radicals. This slows down premature skin aging and boosts skin vitality. CBD helps reduce itching and redness, and for example, after shaving or along the bikini line, CBD soothes the pores quickly and without stinging.
The naturally anti-inflammatory CBD effectively repairs small skin injuries and can be used as a first aid treatment for various skin concerns. Its antioxidant properties help aging skin appear more youthful. CBD helps the skin look healthier, more balanced, and more hydrated.
Can I use your product during pregnancy or breastfeeding?
We get asked about this quite often, so we’ve gone through it carefully with our chemist.
The short answer is this: in cosmetics, there is no authority-issued ban or warning against the external use of CBD during pregnancy or breastfeeding. The precautionary principle you often see mentioned online applies specifically to internal use (oils, capsules, edibles). We even have great reviews of Etna being used postpartum!
A few clarifications:
✔ Research data on CBD in cosmetics is still limited, which is why some brands prefer to play it extra safe (especially if they sell ingestible products marketed as “cosmetics”) or interpret the information in a way that supports their own marketing by steering consumers toward their products. That’s completely fine — but it is not based on any official restriction or recommendation.
✔ Studies show that the absorption of CBD from cosmetics into the bloodstream is extremely low — especially since our products are oil-based and not nano- or micro-emulsions, which penetrate deeper into the skin. In cosmetics, the goal is for the product to act locally on the skin. 👍
✔ If products do not come into contact with mucous membranes, systemic absorption is practically nonexistent. Even in Etna and Glisa, the amounts are so low that systemic absorption does not occur.
We have chosen not to add a “not for pregnant/breastfeeding” warning, as it could create the misconception that the products are intended for internal use or that we use micro- or nano-formulated oils.
Of course, everyone should make decisions based on their own comfort level — and if someone wants to be extra cautious, that’s completely okay. But it is also entirely reasonable to continue using these products during pregnancy or while breastfeeding. ☺️
What is CBD?
CBD, or cannabidiol, is a compound derived from the cannabis plant (more specifically from hemp) that has numerous positive effects in skincare. CBD is a different compound from THC, the intoxicating substance in cannabis. The CBD used in our products is a legal cosmetic ingredient and is listed in the EU’s CosIng cosmetic ingredient database.
